DONATING to NOSSA

The Native Orchid Society of South Australia (NOSSA) is a exclusively managed by volunteers. All money (except for transaction fees) is used to fulfil the aims of NOSSA

“Not only are orchids beautiful & sexy but they are also vital for helping us to understand what is happening in the bushland”

Orchids alert us to the health of the Australian bushland. When pollinated, they indicate the presence of pollinators and when the bushland is under stress, they are the first to disappear as the bushland becomes degraded.

NOSSA aims to preserve, protect, educate and conserve native orchids through

  • conservation of orchid habitats
  • promote and facilitate orchid research
  • germination, propagation and growing of Australasian orchids
  • foster and promote orchid education to members, public and interest groups
